Angry young man Dylan tells his audience about his plight. Being addicted to drugs he sees death approaching, and hates to leave his children crying over his death, but he can't help it, because he knows he will have to pay his dues. Still he is afraid of the "burying ground yonder", the loneliness and the "black smoke rising above his head".<br>The rebellious stance of the singer shows his fear and his helplessness. Great song.<br><br>
